Saturday Ride: 10th June 2017

Four of us at the start this week with Steve B joining Karen, Roger and myself for his first Anerley Saturdays ride. We headed out through Chipstead, up Holly lane to Banstead then round, Epsom downs up Langley Vale and out to Westhumble where the Pilgrim’s Cafe was our tea stop. Steve was only out for a short ride so headed home via Boxhill as we set out up Ranmore Common and on to Leith hill.

The weather was quite simply glorious with the headwind turning into a tailwind as we reached Newdigate and headed back towards Reigate. Shepherd’s hill was our final climb after 50 miles and a pleasant drink in the sunshine at the Wattenden arms after 55 miles.
