Sunday Ride: 21st April 2013
Spring is here at last!! The sun had it’s hat on, and the conditions were near perfect for gardening, washing the car, going on picnics etc and of course cycling! Three regulars started the ride to Henfold Lakes, accompanied by Carmen who was making a guest appearance. As usual the “fry up” at Henfold Lakes was delightful, sitting in the sunshine watching the fishermen fish and the ducks waddling, what more could we ask for. The group split in two after tea with Carmen heading back to watch the tennis, and Ewa having “loads to do” at home. Jeremy and Jim struck out to the Volunteer Inn where they sat in the sun, supping beer and letting the world drift by. It wasn’t all leisurely, as Jim needed some hill training both he and Jeremy cycled up Whitedown Lane, over Ranmore Common and down through Denbies. A round trip of 57 miles!
A good day was had. Jim
here captured riding through Denbies by our undercover cameraperson … hmmm front tyre pressure?
