Thursday Ride: 6th July 2017
David J Gordon, Jeremy, Barrie, Belinda Wigmore, John Eden, Peter Roberts, Frank Kippin and myself to Polhill garden centre today (Thursday 6 July) where we met Mark Hancock (Bob left us at Pilgrim’s way).
Hogtrough Hill felt hard but the gradient at its highest was only 14% and that was right at the start. After that it was a steady grind of 10% to the half-way (0.35 mile) and around 4% – 5% to the top (0.7 mile). A pic of its profile shows where the hardest bit is at the start (blue circle) and total climb is only 300 feet.
