Sunday Ride: 10th January 2016
Leading Sunday rides are always a challenge but last Sunday’s gentle start to year saw 11 people pedalling to Annies in Leatherhead. A simple, easy route through Coulsdon and Walton on the Hill and we’d gained Gina and Jeremy but lost Miles and Ken. The staff at Annies were having a rest before we arrived so our food arrived pretty fast.
Eventually we were joined by Des on a rare Sunday appearance. After tea we moved on to the Plough in Leigh via Pixham to warm us up. Stuart developed a puncture so the pub goers stayed with him while the rest of us headed home via Reigate. It was a chilly day so we were glad to get home early.
Congratulations to new recruit Emma – a worthy 40 miles on a bitter January day is pretty good for your first ride in four months.
