Saturday Ride: 20th May 2017

Another welcome new face was waiting for us at Shurguard. David has been on a number of Anerley rides and fancied a ride out on a Saturday.

We set out via Chipstead valley where the roadworks are doing their very best to stop cyclists getting through, leaving only the narrowest of gaps to squeeze between fencing and the hedge. Once past it was great to cycle along a traffic free road. Heading out to Tanhouse Farm into a strong headwind, but the sun shone most of the time.

Back via Redhill, Merstham and then up Shepherds Hill.

Just under 50 miles at 49.5, and an average speed of 13.5. David will have cycled 70 miles including to and from Orpington.
