Tuesday Ride: 26th May 2015

A magnificent dozen riders took to Kent again as Tuesday afforded another opportunity to sample the delights of Ide Hill in streaming sunshine. This time we just glanced at the gorgeous view before heading down the hill to Bough Beach and on to Chiddingstone Castle.
I am always amazed at how reasonable the prices at the Castle are – £4 for tea and cake (and loads of tea) and copious amounts of coffee, sandwiches and toast with jam were also consumed by the hungry hordes.
John & Meike joined us for the cakes as usual before John launched himself off on a ride with Ewa in attendance.
Maggie impressed us all with her new found hill climbing energy as she blasted up the inclines of Kent so we rewarded her with two further climbs up Crockham Hill and Clarkes Lane.
All in all the lovely company was a spiffing way to avoid work!
