Tuesday Ride: 7th November 2017

 

Three did the ‘A’ ride followed by around fifteen including the Coulsdon Division (above) to Snowhill Garden Centre, Copthorne. Ot was late autumn and beginnning to get cold.

Des took the How Lane deviation from Chipstead as an alternative to Portnalls. Opinions varied on whether it was better or worse. But it did give us a splendid drop along Gatton Bottom into Merstham. then skirting Redhill Aerodrome to the back lane beyond Outwood to our destination. And to meet Meike & John.

It had got glummer and although no rain was firecasrt till three – nobody had told the clouds outside the cafe. We got glum. We dithered and the precipitation gave up and went away.

A gentle canter back via Marden Park [below] made a day of 37.41 miles at 11.25 mph
