Sunday Ride: 25th October 2015

We welcomed to new riders to our Sunday Ride. Capt’n away, Jeremy leads us to Denbies via Little Switzerland. It was supposed to be Leith Hill but rain the previous day would have made the track a little challenging for 23mm boots. Well that’s our excuse and we’re sticking to it. Except we lost Frank just passed Chipstead. Apparently he was lured off our route for a young lady who he says he mistook for Julia. Well, tell that one to Tom!

Four of us went on to The Royal Oak at Brockham. The weather was wonderful sitting outside overlooking their enormous November 5th woodpile. The beer was even better (Adnams Ghost Ship) and then this little beauty rolled up. Not a cable to be seen. Spotting the brakes was even challenging. Back via Reigate Common and the A23 now devoid of roadworks. Only 37 miles.
