Tuesday Ride: 5th April 2016

Another mystery ride into Surrey and this time 17 riders came out. The large group had to be split up into two for safety reasons which helped to slow us down a bit and we arrived at 12.30 for “tea”. The destination of Painshill Park was 22 miles from the start where we met up with John & Meike who had brought Sandra along.

Sandra gave us a cheap thrill while showing us the rainbow hued bruises left by her brief encounter with a Ferrari in Reigate. I hope she gets a Ferrari from the insurance!

Out through Walton-on-the Hill, Leatherhead, Effingham, Ockham and back through Ashtead and Epsom Downs so a pretty flattish ride.

Special congratulations also to Belinda who raced home from Cobham in time to join us at the start in Purley for a mystery ride back to… yes Cobham. She then raced back home to get her hair done in Caterham – oh the joy of the glamorous, modern cyclist!
