QUOTE  OF THE WEEK

"Running would be much better if they invented a little seat to sit on and maybe some kind of platforms for your feet to push and… Oh wait." - Liz Hatch

BICYCLIST OF THE WEEK

USA's Kelly Catlin, three-time cycling world champion, dies aged 23

Three-time world champion Catlin was believed to to have taken her own life after what her father described as a ‘perfect storm’ of depression, injuries and determination to succeed at all costs.

STORM OF THE WEEK

Not many went out cycling during the week due to Storm Gareth. Tuesday was exceptionally bad and yet one intrepid cyclist went to the meeting point at Shurguard before sending me a complaint that no one else had turned up. Who we ask? Who else but Frank!

Finally
DEPARTMENT FOR TRANSPORT ISSUES POTHOLE WARNING

Firms that dig up the roads would have to guarantee they remained pothole-free for five years, under new Department for Transport (DfT) proposals.

Mind you, this is something that Chris Grayling has said so don't expect too much from it.
