Looks a smart bike that you could take on next Sunday's ride (if it wasn't too hilly). But it's 105 years old and fit for a racer. The 1912 'Meredith' Bastide. Leon Meridith was a legend as a racing and record breaking cyclist. He was first to do an umpaced, out-and-home 100 miles in under 5 hours.
Then he started importing French Bastide frames and adding custom BSA fittings. The rest is history. Grab a bit of it here: http://www.oldbike.eu/museum/1912-2/1912-bastide-meredith-road-racing-model/
BELINDA'S PARTY
1st July from 4pm
13a Fryern Wood
CR3 5AR
07984307336
Please bring a bottle, something to go on the BBQ and a pudding/salad/bread/paper plates/cutlery/plastic glasses. If anyone has some portable tables that would be useful and some folding chairs, another BBQ may be useful if large numbers are expected.
I will provide venue, charcoal and charm! Spouses and hangers on most welcome !
Please RSVP to party@anerleybc.org or by text telling me what you propose to bring so that we don't end up with 100 paper plates 200 forks and no pudding!
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Love Belinda
