BICYCLIST OF THE WEEK

Yes, that's Donald J Trump centre stage firing the gun (he likes that) at the start of the inaugural TOUR DE TRUMP - no this is NOT FAKE NEWS - I promise!

This, he said when it launched in 1989, would rival the TOUR DE FRANCE. History was not kind. It folded in just two years. Will his new venture be more successful and last longer? More on this story here:

BICYCLE PORN OF THE WEEK

Trump is against regulation. And without the draconian UCI regulations of 1996 to counter the innovations inspired by the Lotus Sports 108 & 110 then the Tour de France, and maybe many more road bikes, would look gorgeously like this. More on how the shape of the bicycle was frozen here:

THIS YEAR'S CLUB TOURS

Tour de Bullecourt (May): Thirteen riders so far registered. A few of you are yet to remit the £22.50 (single) or £45 (return) ferry cost. Details of how to do that are on your confirmation email. Issues, questions? https://anerleybc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2

New Forest (June): Mark H is looking for four riders to join him. Show your interest or questions here: https://anerleybc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15

That leaves July, August & September free for another tour. Anyone?
