The Anerley Gazette April 2021

It’s springtime and the Covid cloud is starting to lift!

Saturday 20st March heralded the Spring Equinox, warmer and sunnier days, and hopefully not too many April showers. And on the next weekend, Sunday 28th March, was the beginning of British Summer Time!
More importantly for us Club cyclists, from Monday 29 th we can now to go out again, under the old Rule of 6. Presumably this means not only 6 people, but also that we maintain 6ft/2 metres separation when we stop for a take away tea/coffee, etc.  However the Government Road Map says, “Step 2 – not before 12 April – Hospitality venues will be able to serve people outdoors although customers must order, eat and drink whilst seated.”   So does a take away, just mean that you have to eat/drink standing up?

Vince’s Anerley Ride Register now becomes more important.  Can Ride Leaders and Club members use it as intended.  Then, hopefully, there will be enough Leaders and variety of ride types to offer something for everyone.

We hope that we have come up with at least something that interests you in this month’s Gazette – so read on and find out!
