This Saturday we've been asked to lead and marshall a ride from East Croydon to Parliament square in time for the London Freecycle event.
It will be a family ride with mixed style of bikes and abilities so it won't be quick! 40 riders are signed up for it, so i've been told to expect 30 or so.
The route is 15.8 miles to London then around another 10 around london's scenic spots, with a return ride leaving London at 2.30 so back at 4 - 4.30 and a total of just over 40 miles.
I've been asked to be the leader, Roger is a marshal and it would be great if any others would like to join us. It will be a good opportunity to fly the Anerley colours.
I'm told there is also a not very exciting but free packed lunch available from the marshall's tent in Green park.
There's also various cycling things to see in town including penny farthings see here
