TURNBULL WORLD TOURS: CZECHOSLOVAKIA 1988

It was Prague that first attracted me to the idea of touring Czechoslovakia. It had looked so attractive in photographs and had stirred my imagination with its Hradcany Castle, Charles’ Bridge, and Wenceslas Square. Also, the idea of seeing a communist country appealed to me, so I made a few enquiries ...

RECENT RIDE REPORTS

Sunday 2nd: Everyone heads to Horley, some head back, some go on to the seaside. https://anerleybc.org/sunday-ride-2nd-april-2017/

Tuesday 4th: Some technical issues in getting it posted. Patience ...

Thursday 6th: Dave Go reports:
Great outing for fast pedalling squirrels - Our objective the Squirrel Hill cafe near Shere as suggested by Meike. Walton on the Hill then along Horse Sh...! Lane (a name not on the map) through little Switzerland,  Agne went up Box Hill and home to save her lovely knees - still sporting those stretch patches featured in an earlier report. Remaining six climbed up Ranmore and then descended down Crocknorth Road till we spied a road for Shere - shere luck! Amazing views from cafe on top of hill. Choice of two cafes - the one for squirrels the better choice - a comfortable dray for any self respecting squirrel red or grey. Meike suggested a short cut back off road - part of the Vanguard Way a few metres from the cafe. Ending up on the Shere road but taking us to the 246 and Great Bookham - with help from Belinda's sat nav we turned off for Polesden Lacey which returned us to Box Hill and home. Around 60 miles give or take a nut.
